Besides the Wavin AR application I also created a 3D-print model for Wavin. I used a provided BIM-model for measurements and modelled all details. Afterwards I prepared the model for 3D-printing.3>
The sculpting of the Acrocanthosaurus follows the dinosaur sculpting methods of the famous digital sculpt artist David Krentz. As every anatomic Zbrush sculpt it first and foremost establishes form and volume. When combined with correct muscle placement and details it creates a more lifelike sculpt that feels believable.
Below a Mosasaurus Hoffmanni sculpt to the latest findings of Johan Lindgren and Anne Schulp (2014). After making the model I prepared it for 3D-print. One day the wooden stick will be replaced by a transparent plastic rod.
